TRAINING SESSIONS
Practices will begin the first week of June for the entire team.
Location: The University of Kentucky Outdoor Track and Field Facility, 698 Sports Center Drive Lexington, KY 40506
Days: On the team app, based on grouping
Time: 6-7:30 PM (warm-ups will begin at 5:45 PM)
What To Bring: Athletes should bring water and running shoes.
What to Expect: This practice will begin with a warm-up run and dynamic stretching. Workouts will consist of skills, drills, and games for the assessment. This practice ends with cool-down stretches and conditioning.
Conditions may change quickly. If practice is canceled, a message will be sent no later than 30 minutes before the training session begins. Stay flexible as situations can arise quickly.
Membership
All members will have active AAU and USATF memberships.
Training
Each athlete will commit to a training plan that is suited to their individual needs and goals.
Travel
As an incentive to excel, athletes will be encouraged to travel and compete.

Uniforms
Each athlete will be required to purchase a uniform package, which includes
Two (2) uniforms,
Warmup suit, and
travel backpack.
Footwear
Athletes should have at least two pairs of running shoes and a pair of running spikes. No specific brand is required. Athletes will need running shoes at every practice and every competition meet.
FAQs
What is the practice schedule?
Athletes will receive training based on the season and competition level. The Summer Season will be the busiest time for practices, as athletes will be out of school and less involved in school-related activities. Those practices will occur weekly.
Where are practices held?
Every athlete’s situation is unique, especially if they are involved in other sports. Summer practices will be held outdoor at a designated track.
What does competition season entail?
We offer competitive training to girls & boys of all skill levels, ages 5-18. This year, we are offering one season, Summer. The Summer Season runs from May to the beginning of August. . Additional seasons will depend on demand and resources.
How does team travel work?
Athletes are expected to travel and compete. Meets are mostly within driving distance (local to 1-3 hours away). Some are more than 3 hours driving distance. There are several higher-level meets that may require extensive driving (> 3 hours) or flight. All travel is the responsibility of the member.
What does the coaching look like?
Our team of coaches consists of current and former athletes who are degree-holders, hold certifications with USATF, are SafeSport trained and compliant, and participate in continuing education courses and training.
What do the fees cover?
The costs.
